Nick and Andy talk with mixed-media artist Jenny Meyer-McCall. She describes her patchwork of experiences that inform her thinking as an artist and arts entrepreneur.  Some of the topics include her advice to beginning artists looking to be commissioned, how she determines the price of a commission, and how she balances working on her business while working in her business. Jenny offers many valuable suggestions to visual artists, and all are relevant and applicable to any arts entrepreneur.

This week on the podcast Nick and Andy interview musician and entrepreneur Brian Horner.  Brian founded Sound Artist Support, which offers custom marketing and support to artists; and Craft Brewed Music, a streaming app offering curated music that's not in the mainstream. Brian speaks about his move from Warner Brothers to starting his own ventures, as well as how he stays creative and maintains a malleable mind. Tons of great information for anyone looking to be an entrepreneur in the arts.

This week on the podcast is part two with teenage YouTube star Tiko. His real-life name is Jayden, and he and his father Robert join us in a two-part interview releasing on June 7 and 14.  They will describe the transition from a teen making videos for fun, to becoming a viral sensation with hundreds of millions of downloads, to being represented by William Morris Endeavor Agency. It's a departure from most of our interviews in that Jayden's success happened almost literally overnight. Lots of great information for other young people interested in being content creators.
