This week om the podcast is part one of our interview with Jack DiIanni. He’s had a portfolio career for over 50 years. As a performer, he's shared the stage with ensembles such as the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, the Pittsburgh Ballet, and the Blossom Festival Band.  For 8 years he was on the percussion faculty of Carnegie Mellon University, and as a businessperson, he held management positions at Volkwein’s Music going back to 1981, becoming the owner in 2017.

She’s a Russian-born jewelry designer, and co-founder and managing director of Flying Solo—a retail marketplace for independent luxury designers. She founded Flying Solo to address the need for a central space for designers to sell their work and connect with clients, stylists, and press. Her own jewelry incorporates materials such as topaz, pearls and diamonds and fashions them into Art Deco and Elizabethan-inspired pieces.

Since many of our listeners benefit from donations, in addition to earned income, we thought we would interview an arts benefactor to highlight what they consider when engaging artists.  

​Today we released part two of our interview with Michael Frank. He’s a retired emergency physician and attorney who has long been a prodigious arts benefactor. In addition to the support he gives to artists of all genres, he serves on the boards of The Cleveland Orchestra, The Cleveland Ballet and Piano Cleveland. He’s also an active supporter of institutions such as The Cleveland Museum of Art, Playhouse Square and the Great Lakes Theatre Festival.
