Today we released part one of our interview with Vera Holczer-Waroquet. She’s a Hungarian pianist who came to the US after finishing her degree at Budapest’s Bartok High School Conservatory.  She studied music at UCLA and went to graduate school at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Upon graduation, she started a small teaching studio that quickly grew into the Aurora School of Music that trains over 1,000 students per week and hosts numerous events she hosts each year.

They started with an 825 sq. foot gallery in 2007, and over the years have expanded to over 8,000 sq. feet of gallery space in their 3 locations. Many of their 50+ artists have national and international reputations, and have works featured in museums and Fortune 100 companies.

Throughout her career she’s combined her academic research with professional practice in the arts, philanthropy, and business administration. From 2014 to 2018 Jane was the 11th chairperson of the National Endowment for the Arts. Prior to that, she was the founding president and CEO of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, and was charged with overseeing a $413 million campaign to construct and open the center.  Currently Jane is a practicing visual artist based in New York City, and her drawings of 3D colored objects atop black and white background scenes allow viewers to embrace multiple perspectives simultaneously.
